Claude Code
Add Ferrule
$ claude mcp add --transport http ferrule https://app.ferrule.io/api/mcpAuthorize
Your browser will open automatically. Sign in with your Ferrule account to grant Claude access to your connected integrations.

Claude Desktop
Open Settings
In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors.
Add the server URL
https://app.ferrule.io/api/mcp
Authorize
Your browser will open so you can sign in to your Ferrule account and authorize the connection.
Verify
Look for the hammer icon at the bottom of a new chat. That means Ferrule tools are ready to use.
Prefer explicit authentication?
Use an API key instead of browser-based OAuth for headless or automated workflows.
Open the Ferrule dashboard
Navigate to app.ferrule.io and go to API Keys.
Create a new key
Your key starts with frl_ and is shown only once — store it somewhere safe.
Use with Claude Code
$ claude mcp add --transport http ferrule https://app.ferrule.io/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer frl_xxx"Note: API keys also work with Claude Desktop. Add the Authorization header in your connector’s header configuration.
